About

Shellaine Godbold – Artist & Arts Educator

I am an Australian artist and educator whose practice is rooted in drawing, material investigation, and the use of art as a form of communication. My work often explores the human need to connect—and the spaces that exist between us. Drawing becomes both a meditative process and a means of drawing out meaning, offering a quiet space for reflection and resonance.

As an arts educator, I am committed to nurturing curiosity in learners of all ages. I believe that creative practice is not only expressive but also a way of thinking and being in the world—an embodied method for understanding the complexity and beauty of ourselves and the environments we inhabit. I design learning experiences that are responsive, inclusive, and grounded in collaboration and play. My teaching is shaped by contemporary art, Reggio Emilia principles, and interdisciplinary approaches to knowledge-making.
